The great depression started creating the perfect time for Hitler to rule over Germany. He began to build an army and weapons. World War One had only just pasted, no one wanted another war anytime in the very near future. Because of this, Hitler saw the great opportunity to be able to invade countries and rule over not only Germany but the world. "Control the main land, control the world." - Hitler. The people living in Germany at the time were able to trust Hitler with ease since he was able to get people back to work and unify his country. In 1935 there was an order of nation conscription. There were restrictions set by the Treaty of Versailles but Hitler ignored those restrictions.

of Versailles. He set up 450 miles of defences along the strip of land he wished to have. Since France and Britain did nothing about what Hitler was doing, he thought that they would never interfere with what he was doing.
    Late 1930's
During the late 1930's, Hitler started preparing for war. He began building new tanks and new weapons without anyone knowing, ever. "Tell the world we have no raw materials, never let them see what we have." - Hitler.
    March 12 1936
Hitler was planning on invading Austria because if he had Austria that would put him on the southern boarder of Czechs. He knew he that the Czechs had bigger and better weapons than France or Britain. So he knew that France or Britain would not take that risk of being attacked and the German people would just think he was reuniting German speaking people.

    March 1939
Germany gained control over all of Czechs. At this point France and Britain finally realised what Hitler intended. Full control over Europe.
    April 1939
France and Britain decided that if Poland were to be invaded that they would declare war upon Germany.
    August 1939
Hitler signed a non-agression pact with Russia. Though Russia had made this pact with Germany, they knew not to trust one another. Russia knew not to trust Germany since they knew that Hitler had already broken rules on the Treaty of Versailles.
    September 1st 1939
Germany invaded Poland, saying that their reason for invading was to 'liberate' the Germans

ANZAC day means to me that we should pay our respects to the men and women who went to war and either got wounded, mentally scared for life and the ones that died. The fact that they went and fought for our safety, the country's safety and spending four terrorising years at the war front is something huge and the fact of spending just a few minutes to remember them and their strength is minuscule compared to what they did.

In World War 1, war wasn't seen as the terror it is today, it was seen and considered heroic. Dying for your country was seen of higher quality than dying itself. They all rushed to enlist because they felt loyal to Britain. Young men would lie about their age to get onto the war front. Men from the ages of 15 would say that they were 18 or 19 years of age because they wanted to be seen as a brave person. Being brave and courageous was considered one of the best things for a man.

I have decided to enlist for the great war. All I long for is to be seen as a brave hero. I deeply miss you all so much. I sort of wish I had stayed but I know I must do this for my country, for myself, for you. I have thought about this for a long time and I realised that dying at the war would be much more honourable than staying at home and getting old and dying. Words can't describe how I feel right now. I need to do this. I hope that you understand why it is such a huge thing for me. I love you and miss you.
